Another concerned citizen, Emeka Orji narrated the detention of Rev. Fr Nnaji in Limpopo province, for over six months on alleged six counts charges of child abuse including rape. It is believed that when the Catholic Priest joined the order of Missionary of St. Paul in South Africa, he was doing so well that many adherents of fetish practices including Sangoma and Inyanga had to be converted to Christianity.
This development obviously angered the Sangoma practitioners who were losing so much revenue from their erstwhile clients. The reaction of the Sangoma was to instigate many parishioners to accuse the priest of child abuse as well as possession of pornographic films. It is also known that forty-eight hours after the petitions were made, many parents disassociated themselves from the petition, but this was too late, because the accusers had the support and connivance of security agents. At the end the Nigerian priest was discharged and acquitted by a competent court after the prosecution had failed to prove the charges beyond reasonable doubt. At a stage the investigators found Nigerian religious videos, which were alleged tagged porn films. Sadly enough during his detention, they attempted to poison him, concluded the witness.
